Michael C. Tracy 2\/14\/58 - d. 09\/03\/23) from Bronx, New York was a first-generation pioneering graffiti artist. He began his artistic journey in 1969 when he took his first tag on a bus and dedicated his life to art and graffiti thereafter. He focused on subway trains to get his name around all 5 boroughs of New York City. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eDuring the early 1970s, he became a key figure in the young art movement by developing his own letter styles and painting under many aliases. His showmanship and flair pushed him to embellish his train pieces with graphic influences, and he introduced painting cartoons on the trains by 1973. He was a larger-than-life persona who organized some of the earliest graffiti crews such as Wanted (1974) and Wild Style (1975), a crew of talented subway painters that included KING2, P-NUT2, CHICHI 133, and SONNY 107 all who embodied what the term Wild Style means - outlaw, outrageous, and being yourself.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Museum of Graffiti","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":58033825218895,"sku":null,"price":15.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/2424\/8147\/files\/AlanKet-InMemoryofTracy168_1.jpg?v=1782233234","url":"https:\/\/www.legrandj.eu\/products\/alan-ket-in-memory-of-tracy-168","provider":"Le Grand Jeu","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
