The building is considered a prime example of early Bulgarian Modernist architecture. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eBefore 1989, Rodopa was the only state-owned company that supplied the population of Bulgaria with meat and meat products. It went bankrupt in the 90s and was privatized. Since then, the buildings have mostly stood empty, used occasionally as warehouses and, more recently, left to crumble.\u003c\/span\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIn 2022, the Ministry of Culture recognised the significance of the site and designated it a single immovable cultural asset of national importance from the modern era.In the last 4 years we used the empty building as a playground.
