Spray Can Arts' Michael Nicolaï traces the look back to the crew's graffiti years, when they photographed their walls on cheap film cameras and simply kept using the same cameras once they started throwing parties. Flyers, posters and shirts built out of hand-drawn type and throw-up spray, records, residencies, festival stages — the Liège crew ended up with a residency at the Social Club in Paris and sets at Pukkelpop, I Love Techno and Les Ardentes, running the afters.
