To mark the release of his first fanzine, My Definition of a Bboy!, DIKSA (GT–TNB) presents a special exhibition of original sketches.
A key figure of French graffiti, DIKSA was born in Paris and began painting in the mid-1980s, at a time when hip-hop culture—rap, dance, and graffiti—was rapidly taking shape. Over the past four decades, he has developed a highly codified and instantly recognizable graphic language, both rigorous and enigmatic, continuously reinventing the visual codes of graffiti.
Published by All Man’s Land Paris, this first fanzine is entirely dedicated to the B-boy—the activist and symbolic figure of the hip-hop movement—which DIKSA has made a central motif throughout his career.
On the occasion of the release, a selection of sketches is exhibited, offering insight into his drawing process and visual research. A special “Plan de métro” edition accompanies the publication: a reproduction of a metro map measuring 39 × 19.5 cm, based on an original sketch made with Posca and spray paint. Folded like an actual subway map, it is inserted directly into the book.
