A poster announces something that is going to happen. In 2020, hundreds of them announced things that never did. That autumn the Paris graphic design studio Parade asked venues, festivals and designers across France to send in the artwork made for their cancelled music events, and published the result in early 2021, funded by more than 1,400 backers. Over 500 posters, arranged month by month and each credited to its designer, run from 824 Heures' Mois de la Zouz in Paris in March 2020 to Nos Rêves Font du Bruit at Le Quai in Troyes at the end of November.
Laurent Garnier opens the book with an open letter to the Minister of Culture. Fly Art Vol. 1 collects flyers for nights that took place; Annulé is the reverse, the archive of a season that only ever existed on paper. Sold out at the studio.
