The second book by Ben Thouard, an ocean photographer born in Toulon and based in Tahiti since 2008. It gathers seventy-five photographs, unpublished at the time of release, taken inside Teahupo'o, one of the most powerful waves in the world: the wave seen from within and from below, an underwater view that surf photography had not shown.
Thouard won Red Bull Illume in 2019 and, in 2024, worked as a water photographer for AFP at the Olympic surfing event in Teahupo'o. The book is the result of four years' work, self-financed and printed in France.
