Rotzettel takes its name from the “red sheets” once used as document slips for freight trains, now often found scattered across rail yards, weathered, torn, or covered in spray paint.
Using their distinct layout and striking color as inspiration, this zine transforms the utilitarian design into a visual frame for a series of photographs captured during a walk through Vienna’s largest freight yard.
Between rusted tracks, forgotten machinery, and fleeting marks of human presence, Rotzettel documents a hidden landscape where industry, decay, and urban intervention collide.
