Published in 2014, Folk is a full-color zine bringing together photographs by Akay and E.B. Itso, two artists known for exploring the hidden edges of urban space.
The project unfolds as a visual exchange: one photographer sends an image to the other, who responds by selecting a photograph from their own archive to form a double-page spread. Sometimes the authorship seems obvious, but more often the images blur together, revealing unexpected parallels in the way both artists document the unseen layers of the city.
