This isn’t a review of my career, and it isn’t a user manual either. It’s a snapshot, an immersion into my creative approach. My process.
It gathers bits of my journey: beginnings, trials, collaborations, doubts, and mistakes that sometimes create new opportunities. I’m self-taught, so my path has led me to work instinctively, to learn by doing, and to listen to what my hands are telling me rather than strictly sticking to a method.
And as an artist-designer, gestures are at the heart of my practice. My ideas come to life through tools. They teach me humility. No other choice but to start from scratch, learning new techniques each time.
Pencils, needles, spray cans, tattoo guns, sewing machines, brushes. I try, I fail, I start again. Doing my best to open doors, keeping the faith.
If this book is about anything, it’s action, building things, the craftsman behind the artist, the people behind the projects, and this need I have to tell you stories.
