Catalogue for Daze, the exhibition held at Galerie Michel Gillet in Paris from 24 October to 28 November 1990. The gallery published it in an edition of 1000. Daze, born Chris Ellis in 1962, was already known in New York before the show: he was included in Beyond Words at the Mudd Club in 1981, alongside Basquiat and Haring, and had a solo show at Fashion Moda in the Bronx the following year. In 1983 he showed at the Sidney Janis Gallery. The cover is plain, a pale ground with the name in blue capitals, and that restraint makes it an object of its own, separate from the walls the work came from.
