The opening issue of the series through which RAP — writer of the UV and TPK crews, and one of the most methodical archivists of Parisian graffiti — began releasing his photographic archive one location at a time. Roughly a hundred photographs, all made during a single night descent into the tunnel between Nation and Vincennes, at a moment when RAP and Trane were both barred from public transport and from SNCF and RATP premises following their arrest by the Gare du Nord railway police. Trane went down to tag; RAP went down to shoot.
The walk yields tags and throw-ups by CLICK, RECK, LEKY, ORBE, EFOR, SEZAM, SKEN, VESTY, KNYS, TRANE and RAP, along with three previously unpublished pieces and a run of throw-ups by RECK and LEKY. Damp, dry and cracked surfaces throughout, reproduced in flat greys — the format that would define the seven issues to follow.
