Since meeting in 2004, Jana & JS have been creating poetic interventions that merge seamlessly with the textures of the urban landscape. Whether on a crumbling city wall or an aged sheet of metal in the studio, their stenciled figures, often reflective, caught between presence and absence, invite viewers to look at the city, and at themselves, with new eyes.
In their first monograph, the artist duo opens a personal window into their creative world: a journey shaped by travel, encounters, and the delicate balance between public art and private life. The book weaves together intimate photographs, behind-the-scenes insights, and contributions from friends, collectors, gallerists, and fellow artists, including Benoît Maître, Medhi Ben Cheikh, and Artiste Ouvrier, who have accompanied them along the way.
Both a visual chronicle and a love story, D’amour et d’art celebrates a shared artistic practice rooted in harmony, nostalgia, and human connection, where life and art are one and the same.
