Ollio is a small landscape-format book that Jonathan Josefsson put out himself in 2010 under his graffiti name, three years after completing his MFA in textile art in Gothenburg. The cover is a close-up of one of his tufted rugs, wool standing up in bands of pink, red, brown and teal. Josefsson came up in Gothenburg's graffiti scene in the mid-1990s, and during his studies he found that the spray can and the tufting gun ask for the same thing: a sure hand, no hesitation, flat fields of solid colour. Since then he has run the two as parallel practices, on walls and on the floor.
An early document of a writer who carried his letters' energy into wool.
