Non Stop is a tribute to Vlad “Pirat”: a pivotal figure in Ukrainian skateboarding whose influence reaches far beyond tricks and footage. Known internationally for his raw punk attitude and fearless style, Pirat also shaped an entire generation of skaters at home, inspiring scenes from Dnipro to Odesa and Kyiv.
This zine was born from that influence. You won’t find many images of Vlad himself in these pages: the war has deeply affected his life, and today he barely skates. Instead, Non Stop channels his energy through those who followed his path, capturing the spirit, style, and resilience he ignited in others.
In a country marked by war, skateboarding becomes more than movement: it becomes expression, survival, and resistance. As one skater from Dnipro says, skating offers a brief moment of freedom, and a voice to tell the truth. Non Stop stands as a document of that voice, where skateboarding is art, and art is an act of defiance.
