A book assembled from inside the scene it documents: the Berlin crew True 2 The Game gathered previously unpublished photographs of Berlin writers exclusively, and the selection runs the full spread of the practice — black-and-white sketches, worked-up concept walls, street bombing and train pieces. The emphasis throughout is on stylewriting proper: letterform, construction, the way a name is built rather than what surrounds it. Featured writers include Micro, Shaw, Dike, Poet and Jack, among others.
Berlin in the 2000s had a claim to being the busiest writing city in Europe, and this is one of the few books of the period compiled by writers rather than about them. A companion two-disc DVD of roughly four hours was issued under a separate ISBN and is frequently confused with the book by second-hand sellers.
