Rendah Mag has been coming out of Manchester since 2018, three issues a year, built on long conversations with artists about how the work actually gets made, down to the software, the hardware and the hours. Its ground is 3D and generative work, installation, sound and audiovisual performance, a part of club and digital culture that rarely gets written down while it is happening.
Issue 014 takes architecture as its common thread, less as buildings than as a way of thinking. Fourteen artists, from hand notation and speculative drawing to procedural systems, data-driven pieces and world-building that ends up as physical space: CS Projects, Tiziana Alocci, Dominik Scharf, NastPlas, Samson Wong, BakaArts, Yang Rui, Mümün Keser, Rory Patterson, HALIOTIS, A. L. Crego, Dennis Hoelscher, Mobserve and Leask. If you read Audimat for the thinking around music, or Lodown for the crossover between art and the street, Rendah is the one that looks at the screen and the sound system. We're its first stockist in Paris.
