Living in Space is the catalogue accompanying a solo exhibition by Shuck One, a major figure in the Parisian graffiti and urban art scene, presented at the Anne & Just Jaeckin Gallery. With Living in Space, Shuck One continues the transition that has characterized much of his artistic journey: from the wall to the canvas, from the street to the gallery space. His work retains the energy and freedom of graffiti while developing a more abstract visual language, built around signs, textures, and relationships between forms. The exhibition has a strong distinctive feature: it is created entirely in black and white. For Shuck One, these two tones are not merely an aesthetic choice. He describes them as “two shades, two peoples in dialogue,” giving the exhibition a deeply personal, social, and symbolic dimension.
