Adrian Falkner, Basel, writing since 1990. Fifteen years of wild style before he began dissolving the outline of the letter itself — the border he treats as a constraint rather than a form — and moved into spray-can abstraction. Grow Up! was his Paris solo debut, co-published by Galerie Celal with Graffiti Art magazine, and it catches him at the exact hinge: still legible as a writer, already painting something else.
Large-format studio work reproduced throughout, including Building One-Three-7 (2011, 120 × 220 cm) across pages 48–49 and Rollercoaster (2011) on page 57 — both of which have since gone through Artcurial, where the catalogue is cited in their bibliography. That is the useful thing about this one: it is the reference publication for a body of work now trading at auction, and it is the only place several of these paintings are properly reproduced.
