The twelfth issue — the "dirty dozen," as its bilingual intro has it — of Stylefile, one of Germany's most respected graffiti magazines. Published by Publikat roughly three times a year and sold only through specialist shops, Stylefile built its reputation on tightly edited, previously unpublished material seen from the writers' own perspective, with covers created by high-profile names — here, DONE. This issue holds to that standard: a curated run of train pieces, walls, large-scale productions and blackbook sketches drawn from scenes across Europe, with the editors singling out their steel as the work they're proudest of.
Two features anchor the issue: a Special Local dedicated to AK47, and a Stylefile vs. Writerz meeting with the French collective 123Klan, whose graphic sensibility was then helping bridge graffiti, illustration and contemporary design. Around them, dense photographic documentation lets the work speak for itself on clean, well-printed pages — the house approach that made Stylefile both a visual archive and a historical record of a moment when print was still the primary channel for sharing styles and connecting international writing communities. A strong entry in a series whose early issues have long since sold out.
