Trax was the French monthly of electronic music, founded in 1997 by Alexandre Jaillon and Franck Bolluyt and closed in 2023. In this October 2002 issue, Benoît Carretier meets Björk in New Jersey, where she had been living for two years, on July 20, 2002: almost seven months pregnant, she looks back on ten years of solo work as the Greatest Hits, the Family Tree box set and two DVDs are about to come out.
Around her, the issue maps the electronic scene of the moment, with Amon Tobin, Jeff Mills, Metro Area and the Techno Parade. For Björk collectors, and for anyone who wants to read early-2000s club culture as it was written in French at the time.
