A special issue of Tsugi, the French music monthly founded in 2007, on the history of raves and free parties in Britain and France from the late 1980s to today. It runs in four parts. The UK section goes from the Wigan Casino to the fight against the Criminal Justice Bill, with a history of the rave flyer. The France section covers the pioneers, 3615 RAVE, Mozinor and Techno Import. The free party section covers Spiral Tribe and the Heretik sound system. The last part follows the warehouse parties up to the Covid raves. Four photo portfolios run through the issue, by Matthew Smith, Pierre-Emmanuel Rastoin, Margot Wallard and Vicky Pozzobon. It closes on a playlist and a short rave bibliography.
