Published in Stockholm, Underground Productions (UP) was one of Europe's most influential graffiti magazines. Founded in 1992 as a response to the Swedish media's misunderstanding of hip-hop and graffiti culture, the magazine documented the movement from the inside through high-quality photography, interviews, and in-depth reporting. Written in English and distributed internationally, UP became a key reference for graffiti writers and enthusiasts worldwide.
This special double issue (No. 31/32), released in October 2005, is entirely dedicated to Stockholm, the city the editors describe as home to some of the world's finest graffiti. Expanded to 80 pages, it showcases nearly two decades of Stockholm graffiti through rare photographs, historical documentation, and exclusive interviews with writers Dne and Bruce, representing two generations and distinct stylistic approaches. Drawing on the editors' own archives, the issue also explores the evolution of letterforms and the unique visual identity of the Stockholm scene.
