The sketchbook of Wild War, the Paris graffiti clash: twenty-two writers face each other in pairs, on paper, across six rounds: tag, simple piece, colours, throw-up, black and white, and a seven-minute piece. The pairs are Dea vs Jay, Sari vs Tsho, Reyze vs Wire, Echo vs Cobra, Dize vs Nose, Sino vs Vision, Slice vs Kongo, Pest vs Frez, Turs vs Birz, Seb vs Myst and Iko vs Pro. The cover is by Mode 2, under the line “King of what? King of style!”. In 2004 Wild War moved onto walls and film with Karim Boukercha’s DVDs Graffiti Clashs from Paris, where each pair painted with the same cans, a word they did not know in advance and two hours on the clock. A record of the Paris scene of 2003 measured against itself, letter by letter.
