84 pages 21 x 14.8 cm Language: English Paperback Publisher: Stickit Second limited edition of 50 copies 2017
A self-published monograph of Wood, the post-graffiti artist behind Stickit's Abstractions zines. Its 84 pages run from Milan in 2004, where he painted with Bo130 and Microbo, to Utrecht in 2016, and the closing index places every photograph by city and year: Utrecht above all, but also Warsaw, Hengelo, Breda, Stadskanaal and Nijmegen.
The pictures show his letters, rounded strokes stacked in two or three flat colours, and the collaborations around them: Graphic Surgery, Erosie, Bfree, Ewos, Easl, 103 and Mores, who is thanked in the colophon. Between the pieces come the spots themselves: concrete slabs, industrial interiors, waste ground. Two wooden sculptures mark the edges of the practice, from the 2008 show So far so good at CM Studio to Garage Amsterdam in 2016. The record of the walls that came before the Abstractions.
