From 1982 to 1985, Yan Morvan recounted the Lebanese War as he experienced it, without ever taking sides or favoring any of the actors in this tragedy. At the same time, he delivered a gripping reportage shot with his large-format view camera on the "Green Line," the no-man's land separating East Beirut from West Beirut.
For nearly forty-five days, Yan Morvan traveled this line of desolation on the western side. From the mountain to the port, street by street, house by house, he met the actors in this bloody vein and photographed their portraits with a 4x5-inch view camera.
